To with it in the Video section is the Stratton Session where Jon puts the guitar through it’s paces accompanied by Megyn Neff on violin, with an instrumental version of “Hammered Light”.

There’s an article up on the Electronic Musician website in their Master Class tutorial section entitled “Being a marketable musician means broadening your skill set – and mindset.”

Well playing the pedal steel, banjo, Hawaiian, standard guitar etc etc. There’s a certain person fits right in with having both a broad skill and mind set.

The Fretboard Journal's Fifth Anniversary Party

Jon's Gear

There’s new pics and info up in the “Jon’s Gear” section of the site.

A few amps – 40/50s Magnatone, Dickerson & 70s Garnet – and guitars – Kay – that Jon has found on his trawls through second hand shops, as well as new gear from a couple of guitar makers.

You might have seen him using the Eastwood 12 string and the Epiphone Joe Pass on tour with Neko of late. he latter has replaced Jon’s 1930s Slingerland on the road, the rigours and perils of touring not being too good for such and old piece of gear.

Jon’s new bit of guitar gear is up in the “Gear” section.

It’s a square neck acoustic made by Roberto-Venn guitar building instructor and all round top bloke Don Windham under his Haymaker brand. A pretty damn fine looking piece of kit with name of Jon’s good lady wife inlaid into the fretboard.

There’s a bunch of pictures of Tommy in action along with an MP3 download of Tom and Bob playing the Cole Porter classic “Begin the Beguine”. There all also some great MP3 downloads of Bobby playing.
