Jon Rauhouse News

The tour dates that weren’t.

Some of you eagle eyed viewers out there might have spotted three Neko Case tour dates up in the “On Tour” section of the site, which have now disappeared.

Well the dates are still going ahead but Jon isn’t part of the band, so I’ve taken them down. You can get the information from Neko’s site, so get along and support great live music even if it is Rauhouseless

Jon has been hired, along with Tom V. Ray and Barry Mirochnick – Kelly Hogan and Paul Rigby are playing with Neko – by Jakob Dylan for his upcoming tours. So he’s currently rehearsing for those shows. I’ll get the dates up as soon as I get ‘em.

In the words of the man himself…

Neko band was going to take a bunch of time off so its great to be employed.

Jon has also uploaded a video of himself playing with Joey Burns & John Convertino (of Calexico) in Tacoma, which I’m just about to add to the site.

Jon is accompanying Neko Case on a little jaunt over the pond to the UK for a few dates.

Most of the gigs are in England, a couple in Scotland but the tour starts in Ireland and finishes in the Netherlands. The latter making up for the canceled Amsterdam date earlier this year.

So check the “On Tour” section of the site for more details and get along to listen to some great live music.

November Tour Dates

There’s two dates up for Jon in November both are with Neko Case, first is in Tucson the second in L.A. See the “On TOur” section for more details and links to buy tickets.

Neko and the band are scheduled to make their debut on November 16th at the world famous Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Frank Gehry-designed home of the Los Angeles Philharmonic. The evening before, on November 15th, they’ll perform a concert in Tucson, AZ to benefit the organization No More Deaths.

Each year since its inception, the Walt Disney Concert Hall “Songbook Series” has brought audiences some of the most cherished evenings of song.

No More Deaths is a grassroots organization of concerned individuals, faith-based communities and human rights activists working in Southern Arizona and across the border to address the suffering and deaths of border crossers, attempting to illuminate and rectify problems in the US border policy. Through direct humanitarian assistance to migrants, research, networking, education and awareness-building, No More Deaths seeks to put an end to the deaths – of which there have been more than 2000 since 1998 – of men, women and children attempting to enter the United States through the Sonoran Desert
