There’s a couple new videos and pictures added to the site of Jon in action with The Boxmasters on the just ended tour.

And yes in answer to the question posed in the post announcing Jon’s place on the tour he did have to get a fancy whistle but not only that he had to get a fancy barnet do as well.

Now I just have to figure out who he reminds me of, there’s a touch of the fried chicken Colonel, or maybe it’s Custer or is it a dead president. Let us know what you think in the comment section below.

Jon has managed to wangle a gig playing steel guitar with Billy Bob Thornton’s band The Boxmasters.

The band will be supporting Willie Nelson during the end of November and the begining of December. See the “On Tour” section for more details.

There’s a couple of new pics up on the site.

Firstly Jon at the Paramount Theatre, Seattle with Norm Hamlet, Merle Haggard’s steel player, “he’s one of the best” says Jon.

And then there’s a shot of Jon at this years SxSW gig with a link to the full set of pics of Jon’s band that day.

A follow up video from the Route 66 jam again recorded at the Fender booth at the International Steel Guitar Convention in St. Louis in 2005, this time Bobby Koeffer, Cindy Cashdollar and Jon swing through “Choo Choo Ch’ Boogie”

Jon himself found the link to a video of himself, Cindy Cashdollar, Bobby Koefer, Mike Lewis, Tommy Connell, and Sam Marshall jamming “Route 66″ at the Fender booth at the International Steel Guitar Convention in St. Louis in 2005.

If anybody knows of any other footage Jon would really like to know.
